And it is, of course. But for working parents, August and September bring a massive operational shift of their own. During the summer, we expect a bit of chaos. We adjust to camp schedules, vacations, and loose routines. Then the school year starts, and many of us have this expectation that life will suddenly become orderly again. After all, the kids are in school for seven or eight hours a day, so logic says you should finally have a clear, uninterrupted window to get your work done. Right?
